2008 yılında babası tarafından katledilen ve Türkiye’de ilk “Eşcinsel Namus Cinayeti” olarak adlandırılan davada “kayıp” baba bulun(a)madığı için nefret cinayetlerine her geçen gün yeni bir arkadaşımız eklenmekte. Ahmet Yıldız davasının 28. Duruşmasının olduğu bu günde bir araya geliyoruz. Nefret cinayetlerini, Türk “hukuk” sistemini, iyi hal indirimlerini ve cezasızlık konularının tartışılacağı panelde buluşuyoruz.

Panel: “An Honour Killing: The Case of Ahmet Yıldız” (Hêvî LGBTI Association)

Ahmet Yıldız was murdered by his father on 2008, the incident came to be known as “the first gay honour killing” in Turkey. As the father went “missing” and the case remained unresolved, each day another one of our friends is killed in hate murders. We come together on this day to mark the 28th hearing of the case of Ahmet Yıldız. We are going to discuss hate murders, the Turkish “legal” system, good behavior sentence reductions and impunity in this panel.
